Wilderness Vacations
At Canoe Montana, we offer relaxing wilderness vacations. We will point our canoes and kayaks for adventure travel, on a journey to destinations beyond imagination.Canoe Montana's wilderness vacations

The area we travel is entwined in the rich tapestry of American history, the pathway of Native tribes and the routes of Lewis and Clark exploration. Like the explorers who have gone before, our guests will pass through a world experienced by few.

On our guided canoe and kayak trips we strive for more than just the graceful glide of our canoes and kayaks alongside a splendid landscape, more than the magic of the moonlight rippling on the water, more than a sojourn into the untamed world. We strive to make each wilderness tour a special event in the lives of each of our guests.

Our guided river expeditions are designed for people with no canoeing, kayaking or camping experience. Our Montana river guides and outfitters will assist you in acquiring the skills you need for the river. Learning to paddle the canoe or kayak, to read the river and to spot wildlife are just a few of the rewards for your efforts. The level of skill required for hiking is adjusted to the abilities of each group. For clients with outdoor skills, higher levels of challenges are easily included in each river adventure.

As responsible stewards of the river, our canoe company is committed to the preservation of the pristine beauty of our rivers and the earth. Mishandled camp activities, such as fires, cooking, cleaning and personal hygiene can take a tragic toll on the camp areas, the river ecosystem and the wildlife that inhabit the river corridor. With this philosophy in mind, our camping methods have been perfected to minimize the impact of human contact. Each guided Montana trip takes a fire pan to prevent the spread of fire rings and a portable toilet system for proper disposal of human waste. Yes, we even strain our dish water before disposal.

Canoe Expeditions
We offer multi-day canoe expeditions and customized scenic float trips on the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument. Our season begins in May as spring casts off winter's cold, continues through the glories of summer and finishes in September with the breathtaking beauty of autumn afternoons.

Now I feel spoiled. The equipment was so good that I

didn't feel I could purchase it for myself, but now that I have tried the best I couldn't settle for anything less. All the breads were wonderful and the prepared foods were great. I loved the East Indian Chicken and would like the recipes.
